Alfonso's is the best. I love their burritos which are great--but another them in their green chile and they are awesome! Service is always friendly--even when busy.
Great food and great prices! They took our order last minute when they were about to close one night and they were so nice about it! We were in the middle of moving and lost track of time so we showed up 15 minutes before they closed and they were still so nice about making our order where as most places would be annoyed. I got the two chicken enchiladas plate and my husband got the carne asada plate. Both were fresh and delicious!
Alfonso's is a fast food Mexican restaurant with a drive thru and indoor/outdoor seating. I ordered the Taco Salad, which at first glance looked like a small, sad pile of shredded lettuce and cheese. But digging into the salad revealed that it was actually more like a complex, multi-layered dip. Built on a fried tortilla bowl was a layer of refried beans, then a generous portion of juicy shredded beef, peppers, tomatoes, salsas, guacamole, and sour cream. I also got their Friday special--a $2.50 junior quesadilla, made of a flour tortilla grilled with a layer of shredded processed cheese. While tasty, the layer of cheese was overwhelmingly salty, though the quesadilla went nicely with the mild salsa verde and the spicy salsa roja on the side. Overall, this was a simple but tasty restaurant turning out great Mexican food at unbelievable prices!
I normally don't review food places, BUT YALL! This place had really good authentic Mexican food! The quesabirria tacos with consomé was on point! Over all no complaints.
After full day of hiking and calling 5+ places with hour long wait times, this place was my haven! immediate service and truly the second best burrito I've ever had in my life (Cheesy Steak).
The California burrito and birria tacos with consommé are so flavorful. Employees are always kind. Best Mexican food in the springs!
The Oreo Churro is to die for!! I'm still thinking about the quesadilla - it was enough to feed 2-3 people. Cannot beat the price!
